James Gandolfini dead at 51

James Gandolfini has passed away following a massive heart attack in Rome, Italy. The New Jersey native is best known for his role as mob boss Tony Soprano on 'The Sopranos.' Gandolfini is survived by his wife Deborah Lin and his two children. Gandolfini recently had a role in this year's Oscar nominated film, 'Zero Dark Thirty.' According to imdb.com he has several projects completed for this year and 'Animal Rescue' listed as post-production for 2014.

Cinema's Reel Loss: Roger Ebert (1942-2013)

The cinema world is mourning the recent loss of legendary film critic Roger Ebert. A journalist, film critic and screenwriter that was known for his trademark phrase “two thumbs up,” passed away Thursday April 4, 2013 due to thyroid cancer. He was 70.

Ebert has been a film critic since the late 1960's writing for the Chicago Sun Times, he was the first film critic to win the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 1975 and was also the first film critic to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005. By the late 1970's Ebert took his craft to the small screen with the late Gene Siskel for a film review television show. Siskel and Ebert reviewed films with their trademarked “two thumbs up/down” rating system and helped films find their audiences throughout their reviews. Siskel died in February of 1999 due to complications of surgery and Richard Roeper was hired to co-host the show with Ebert.

Ebert’s wife, Chaz Ebert stated, “We were getting ready to go home today for hospice care, when he [Ebert] looked at us, smiled, and passed away." She wrote an entire statement on Ebert’s blog for the Chicago Sun Times and that can be viewed here.

Ebert blogged only days before his passing to let his readers know that he would be taking a “leave of presence” since his cancer had come back and he was incapable of seeing as many movies to review as he’d like. The last line of his blog entry is “So on this day of reflection I say again, thank you for going on this journey with me. I'll see you at the movies.”

Ebert will be greatly missed, and the film industry will never be able to find a more brilliant writer to fill the void of the legendary critic.

It's a girl for Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard!

Actress Kristen Bell welcomed a baby girl with fiance' actor Dax Shepard. Bell took to twitter after giving birth to say "My new roomate poops her pants and doesn't pay rent...basically @daxshepard1 pre-sobriety :) welcome baby Lincoln xo." The girl's name is Lincoln Bell Shepard, before you say anything there is an actual meaning behind this weird name for a girl. A 1967 Lincoln is the actor's other baby, which he refers to as "Lady Lincoln" – had a star role in "Hit and Run," the 2012 film starring both Shepard and Bell, which he wrote and directed. Legendary New Jersey rocker, Jon Bon Jovi recently spoke out for the first time about his daughter Stephanie's heroin overdose. About four months ago, Stephanie overdosed in her college dorm and Bon Jovi describes it as "the worst phone call ever." He also discusses his wife, Hurricane Sandy and of course his music. Child star Amanda Bynes has been acting extremely weird recently. The 'What a Girl Wants' actress took to twitter today, and sent a raunchy tweet to singer Drake. Could her twitter have been hacked or does she have an odd attraction to Drake, so much so to tweet about it?
Not too long after this bizarre tweet, she tweets "Twerking out." Not sure exactly what that means...

US Weekly is stating that on again off again couple, Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel got engaged in December while vacationing in Jackson, Wyoming over the holidays. A source told the mag, ""Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place." The couple has been dating since 2007 and broke up for 3 months in the beginning of 2011. When asked about his his then-ex Biel, he called her as "the single-handedly most significant person in my life." Then went on to say, "in my 30 years, she is the most special person, O.K.? ...I don’t want to say much more, because I have to protect things that are dear to me — for instance, her." Neither of the stars' reps have confirmed the engagement. Is it odd that this engagement news comes only weeks after JT's former flame Britney Spears announces her engagement?? Where's Cameron Diaz?

Bruce Willis to be a Father Again

Bruce Willis and wife Emma Heming have confirmed that they are expecting their first child together. Their reps have stated,  that Willis and Heming are “overjoyed with this news and they look forward to welcoming this newest addition into their family.” For Willis, this will be his 4th child. He has three daughters with Demi Moore, who is married to Ashton Kutcher. But, according to some recent rumors their marriage seems to be on the rocks due to a one night stand Kutcher had with Sarah Leal, 22. Did you get all that?

Another Fight for Shia LaBeouf

Transformers star, Shia LaBeouf was seen outside a local Vancouver bar last week. No word as to what led the angry man to attack LaBeouf and punch him in the face repeatedly. TMZ caught the footage of a shirtless man hitting La Beouf on the sidewalk outside of the bar, 'Cinema Public House' which they both got kicked out of. Zachary Quinto Comes Out

Zachary Quinto, 34, (Heroes, Star Trek) revealed on his personal blog over the weekend that he is gay. "In light of Jamey's death, it became clear to me in an instant that living a gay life without publicly acknowledging it is simply not enough to make any significant contribution to the immense work that lies ahead on the road to complete equality," "Our society needs to recognize the unstoppable momentum toward unequivocal civil equality for every gay lesbian bisexual and transgendered citizen of this country," he explained. "Gay kids need to stop killing themselves because they are made to feel worthless by cruel and relentless bullying. Parents need to teach their children principles of respect and acceptance." "Jamey Rodemeyer's life changed mine," the Star Trek actor said. "And while his death only makes me wish that I had done this sooner, I am eternally grateful to him for being the catalyst for change within me. Now I can only hope to serve as the same catalyst for even one other person in this world." Jamey Rodemeyer was 14 years old, and gay. He was horribly bullied that led to him committing suicide.

Twilight hunk, Taylor Lautner,19 was recently interviewed by GQ Austrailia and was questioned about a night he had spent with director Gus Van Sant, 59 and  screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, 37. The three men were spotted dining together in June at Bottega Louie in Los Angeles. Lautner responded to the question of whether or not he got hit on by either of the two gay men, with "No, definitely not. I think they know I'm straight. But they're great guys. They're a lot of fun."

Lautner recently just ended his romance with 'Abduction' costar Lily Collins one week before their red carpet premiere.

DiCaprio and Lively Call It Quits

Leonardo DiCaprio, 36, and Blake Lively, 24, have ended their 5 month relationship. Last I checked, it wasn't even confirmed they were dating, but reps for both stars have confirmed the split and added that the couple 'remain friends.' Rumors of their relationship began in May when they were seen together at the Cannes Film Festival and spotted throughout the summer in Italy, New York City and California. Right before the blonde duo got together, Leo and on-again-off-again supermodel girlfriend, Bar Rafeli broke up and Blake Lively ended her 3 year relationship with her 'Gossip Girl' co-star Penn Badgley at the end of 2010.

K-Fed Reproduces...yet again

Kevin Federline, 33, aka K-Fed, just welcomed another child into this world, a little baby girl, named Jordan Kay. Federline and girlfriend Victoria Prince, picked the name early on in the pregnancy, he says "[Victoria] said that if we were going to have a little girl, she wanted to name her Jordan. And then, we actually thought that it was a boy, but we stuck with the name Jordan because, you know, it fits both ways." Little Jordan Kay is only 6 weeks old and has three half brothers (Federline and Britney Spears had 2 sons Preston, 6 and Jayden, 5 and a boy with  Shar Jackson named Kaleb, 6) and one half sister (Federline and Shar Jackson also had a daughter, Kori,8).

Anderson Cooper Opens Up With Mom, Gloria Vanderbilt

CNN news reporter Anderson Cooper has a new daytime talk show entitled, "Anderson." On the show he interviewed his famous mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, 87 who opens up about her other son, Carter who committed suicide at the age of 23 by jumping off the 14th floor terrace of their New York City penthouse apartment.
